59-DC Standard: Vintage "D" style tuners, chrome bridge with rosewood saddle. Painted neck and headstock to match body color.

Controls: Large knobs control volume. Small knobs control tone. Knobs closest to the neck control neck pickup. Knobs closest to bridge control bridge pickup. Toggle switch: Up position = neck pickup on. Middle = both pickups on. Down = bridge pickup on.

In 1998 the Danelectro 3021 was reissued as the 59-DC and later as the 59-DC Pro. The 3021 and the 59-DC has been a favorite of both Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton as well as numerous others. In 2007 a limited edition '59 Danelectro was introduced with a few changes. Some players would consider these changes to be upgrades while others still swear by the vintage 3021 and the 59-DC reissue. Either way, this hot double cutaway is still one of the most coveted guitars on the planet with its lipstick pickups, seal pickguard and large hollow inner cavity for a great open and ringy sound.
